How can I get toys for my family?

Toys are donated to local nonprofit agencies, not to individual families. For a list of nonprofits that give toys to families in need, click here.

Who does the drive benefit?

The KGW Great Toy Drive benefits more than 120 nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. With their help we are able to serve families in need. Click here for the full list of organizations.

I work for a nonprofit, how can I get toys?

The application period is in July and August, but you may be eligible to be added to our waitlist if we have extra toys. You can request an application by e-mailing greattoydrive@kgw.com.

How do I volunteer for the Great Toy Drive?

We have promised our sponsors the opportunity for volunteer shifts this year since they make the drive possible. The best way to help is to become a collection partner or donate to the drive! You can collect toys at your business by registering here.

Can I receive a tax deduction for my donation?

Yes, we can provide you with a tax deduction form on behalf of the Salvation Army for you to provide to your tax Accountant to determine the value of your donation to the KGW Great Toy Drive. Please call KGW at (503) 226-5000 for more information.

When is the last day to donate and drop off toys?

December 13 at Regence

December 13 at Wells Fargo locations

December 14 at local Toyota dealerships

December 14 at TVF&R fire stations

What kind of toys should I donate?

We are accepting new, unwrapped toys for children 0-17 years of age. We receive a large number of stuffed animals, so other types of toys are strongly encouraged. For older kids, suggested gifts include craft kits, makeup kits, and sports items.

How do I contribute cash to the drive?

We are not currently accepting individual cash contributions.
